As a family, we have been blessed having Jane and Martin so close in Mevagissey and when the children were born, they became adopted grandparents. Lunch invites were always popular and the first few minutes involved Granny Jane shouting at the dogs to be quiet. She was a solicitous hostess and amazing cook and the apple crumble and ice cream never lasted long - Jane generously allowed 3rd helpings . Her love of children was evident and she used to delight in having Sue and Fionn's children to stay and then adding our three to the party. It goes without saying that she never missed sending a birthday card. She also allowed us to share a holiday with her in Malawi. Her warmth, energy, smiles and chuckle will be remembered forever and we are very grateful for being embraced into her extended family.
